Beşiktaş's goal is the Turkish Cup: 'We will embrace it with both hands'

Beşiktaş Club Second President Hüseyin Yücel stated that they will focus more on the black-and-white football team for the remainder of the season, adding that they have no choice but to win the Turkish Cup.

In addition to Yücel, the black-and-white club's vice president Mete Vardar and board member Burak Aslan met with members of the press at the BJK Nevzat Demir Facilities.

During the meeting, which took place at halftime of Beşiktaş's friendly match against İstanbulspor, the executives celebrated the Ramadan Feast with the press members and also answered questions about the black-and-white team.

Stating that they will make their presence felt at the BJK Nevzat Demir Facilities, Yücel said, "We will provide our support. We have a Turkish Cup goal. We will embrace it with both hands. We have no other choice. Sending this one away, bringing that one in... in a 1-2 week period, it won't write much that is either positive or negative. We need to embrace the current team. We need to focus on the players."

Emphasizing that President Hasan Arat and Hüseyin Yücel gave the necessary messages during their meeting with the football team, Mete Vardar said, "Our desire is for Beşiktaş to be successful in a sporting sense. We have a match against Yılport Samsunspor on April 13. Hopefully, we will see a team that plays better. We believe they have received the messages from our president and second president. From now on, our job is harder. The Turkish Cup is a must this season. We will put all our effort into winning it. The technical staff and the players are also aware of this."
