Beşiktaş management continues its search for a new head coach following the parting of ways with Rıza Çalımbay. Feyyaz Uçar, the board member responsible for the football department, announced that Sergen Yalçın is among the candidates for the head coach position.
According to information reported by NTV Spor, Samet Aybaba and Feyyaz Uçar will meet with the 51-year-old Sergen Yalçın.
Yalçın led Beşiktaş to a double-trophy success in the 2020-2021 season. However, following the change in head coach, the team has entered a search for a new leader.
Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær was also on the agenda as another candidate for Beşiktaş. However, no contract was signed as the negotiations did not yield a positive result.
