The club made the following notification to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) regarding Giovanni van Bronckhorst:
A contract has been signed today with Giovanni van Bronckhorst for the position of Head Coach of our Professional Football Team, valid until the end of the 2025-2026 season, with a 1-year option for the 2026-2027 season.
WHO IS GIOVANNI VAN BRONCKHORST?
The 49-year-old manager began his career in 2011 as an assistant coach at Feyenoord, continuing his journey by being promoted to head coach of the Dutch team's U21 squad in 2012.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who served as the head coach of the Feyenoord first team between 2015 and 2019 and enjoyed successful days there, managed the Chinese team Guangzhou City between January 2020 and December 2020.
The successful manager, who took charge of Glasgow Rangers in November 2021 and served at the Scottish club until November 2022, has not managed any team since that date.
During his time at the helm of Feyenoord, Van Bronckhorst won 1 Dutch Eredivisie title, 2 Dutch Cups, and 2 Dutch Super Cups, and he also succeeded in winning the Scottish Cup with Glasgow Rangers.
