At the ceremony held at Tüpraş Stadium in Istanbul, the black-and-white team's latest signings Yasin Özcan, Kristjan Asllani, Junior Olaitan, Hyeongyu Oh, Emmanual Agbadou, Amir Murillo, and Devis Vasquez officially became Beşiktaş players. The ceremony was hosted by club president Serdal Adalı, with the participation of board members and the Consul General of South Korea in Istanbul, Woo Sung Lee.
In his speech at the ceremony, President Serdal Adalı stated that the football committee, scouting team, and technical staff were heavily involved in the transfer process. Thanking the fans for their interest in the Alanyaspor match, Adalı reacted sharply to the referee decisions during the game. Pointing to the six minutes of stoppage time added to the end of the match, the president said, "This decision is not about not knowing the rules; it is mocking the intelligence of the Beşiktaş community and the millions watching on screen. There was not a peep from the VAR room for a clear penalty position that should have been given in our favor. That silence actually says a lot. In our view, this situation has long since crossed the line of a 'human error.' This is not an error; it is a clear indicator of 'ill intent' directed against the labor of Beşiktaş and the sweat of its fans."
Adalı also touched upon the provocative banner incident that occurred during the match between Beşiktaş GAİN Men's Basketball Team and Panionios in Greece, stating, "I strongly condemn the Greek police for allowing this. Everywhere the Beşiktaş crest is present is a symbol of a firm stance. I congratulate every member of our team who responded to that ugliness with a 40-point victory."
NEW SIGNINGS MEET
The new players shared their thoughts after watching the promotional videos prepared by the club. Yasin Özcan described his happiness at wearing the black-and-white jersey with these words: "I know the greatness of this community. I will do everything I can under this jersey. When I was at Anderlecht, the phone rang and they said, 'Beşiktaş wants you.' I accepted without thinking. I am also very happy to be working with coach Sergen."
Kristjan Asllani, who was transferred from Inter, thanked President Adalı, head coach Sergen Yalçın, and his teammates. Regarding the red card he received in the Konyaspor match, Asllani said, "These are things that can happen in football. I was also a bit unlucky. I apologize to my coach, my teammates, and my club for such a situation." He noted that he did not exchange views with Hakan Çalhanoğlu during the transfer process, but rather with Ernest Muci and Milot Rashica.
Junior Olaitan emphasized that he is excited to have come to Beşiktaş and that they are a team capable of playing in big matches. "When you play for Beşiktaş, you play for the crest, for the jersey. For this reason, every player at Beşiktaş plays for the team," he said.
South Korean player Hyeon-gyu Oh drew attention to the support of Beşiktaş fans, saying, "I will always fight for Beşiktaş. I know very well that the fans love me too. I cannot lose any challenge I enter. I also know that we can beat all our opponents. I scored my first goal. The fans expect more. We have the Başakşehir match ahead of us. I want to leave a mark here by scoring in every match as much as I can."
Ivorian center-back Emmanual Agbadou expressed the difficulty of the process and said, "I am finally here. I will give my 100 percent. I will do my best to give the best to this great community. I think the Süper Lig is a difficult league. It is a high-intensity league. I experienced this in the first match. There are very intelligent strikers in the league. Most things in football are determined by small details. I hope I will fight against good strikers without getting injured." He also stated that he wants to transfer his Premier League experience to Beşiktaş.
Amir Murillo, who was transferred from Marseille, said, "I will do my best to have good times with the fans. Family is everything, I feel the sense of family here. I will reciprocate the messages and warm welcome from the fans on the pitch." Pointing to his meeting with his coach Sergen Yalçın, Murillo expressed that he would try to meet the expectations of the head coach.
Finally, Colombian goalkeeper Devis Vasquez stated that he had the chance to train with Oscar Cordoba before transferring to Beşiktaş. Vasquez touched upon his new adventure with the words, "During the process of coming here, I was always told how big the club is. I will work very hard for my purchase option to be exercised and I will do more than my best every day."
Following the group photo session at the ceremony, the players and President Adalı met with fans at the Kartal Yuvası store.
