It was announced that following the backlash against Israel due to its attacks on Palestine, the match in Sarajevo was deemed to be at high risk from a security perspective, and a decision was made to cancel it for this reason.
In a statement issued by the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was stated: "Following consultations with the authorities, and taking into account the current security situation and the high-risk level of the match to be played against the Israeli National Team, it was concluded that the match in Sarajevo should be cancelled. A new friendly match will be arranged for our team during an open slot in the UEFA calendar."
