Breaking: Ali Koç reproaches the Fenerbahçe community at High Council meeting!

The Fenerbahçe Sports Club High Council of Delegates meeting is being held at the Faruk Ilgaz Facilities.

The meeting, which began at 10:30 a.m., was also attended by former president Aziz Yıldırım and presidential candidates Hakan Bilal Kutlualp and Sadettin Saran.

Yıldırım's arrival at the facilities together with Hakan Bilal Kutlualp drew attention.

Tensions rose at the meeting after the number of signatures collected for an extraordinary congress was announced. After the tension subsided, Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç took the podium to deliver his speech.

Highlights from Ali Koç's speech:

"Last season we experienced pride across many branches. In leagues where fair competition existed, we were able to reap the rewards of our hard work. Our men's basketball team won the Turkish League, the Turkish Cup, and the EuroLeague championship, claiming the 'triple crown.' I thank every member of our team for making all basketball fans smile and feel proud.

Not only our team made us proud. Derya Yannier being named 'General Manager of the Year' and Jasikevicius being named 'Coach of the Year' also made us proud. I thank Sertaç Komsuoğlu on behalf of our community for his outstanding branch management.

I congratulate our team and branch director Mr. Kemal Danabaş for winning the Presidential Cup, the FIBA Süper Cup, and the Women's Basketball League. Fenerbahçe is the only club to display both the men's and women's EuroLeague trophies. Our Fenerbahçe has achieved this feat not once but twice.

When we look at the consecutive international victories we have achieved across different branches and the medals our athletes have won, it becomes clear why we call ourselves 'the world's greatest sports club.' We continue to fulfil the mission that all sports clubs should carry out but have not taken on."

A DIG AT OTHER SPORTS CLUBS

Continuing his remarks on amateur branches, Ali Koç said: "When we look at the consecutive international victories we have achieved across different branches and the medals our athletes have won, it becomes clear why we call ourselves 'the world's greatest sports club.' We continue to fulfil the mission that all sports clubs should carry out but have not taken on.

We have always valued our contribution to sport in this country. With this mission of ours, we take pride in our athletes who have had the İstiklal Marşı played at international competitions. How fortunate we are to be Fenerbahçe, how glad we are to be Fenerbahçe."

"WE DID NOT CASH IT ALL IN AT ONCE"

Speaking about the new kit deal, Ali Koç said: "We signed two very important sponsorship agreements. We raised the bar by breaking records in two different categories. We set a record with adidas. It was said that all the money would be cashed in and used today. Each instalment will be received in June. Future administrations will also be able to benefit from this. Another feature of the agreement is that it covers three branches and all academies. This partnership is a strategic alliance and a global vision move."

THE CHOBANI DEAL

Providing information about the stadium and kit sponsorship, Ali Koç said: "We completed the stadium naming rights sponsorship with Chobani. I extend our most sincere thanks on behalf of our community to the Ülker Group and Mr. Murat Ülker, who have walked alongside us in a manner befitting the greatness of our community. You have heard the details of the agreement made with Chobani. Alongside this great and proud agreement, there is another aspect we can take pride in. Every year, an amount of 1 million dollars will be donated in our country for a social responsibility project we will mutually agree upon. I extend my most sincere thanks to Mr. Hamdi Ulukaya for this collaboration with Chobani.

I would like to speak about Hamdi Bey. He was born on these lands, carried the industriousness of Anatolia to the United States, and has been a Fenerbahçeli who dreamed of being of service to Fenerbahçe since childhood. For Chobani, collaborating with Turkey's most deep-rooted community like Fenerbahçe is not merely a sponsorship — it is a powerful partnership that reflects its commitment to society."

THE BANKS ASSOCIATION, SEPTEMBER 21...

Providing information about the debt to the Banks Association, Ali Koç said: "As of where we stand now, we have left behind very high-interest debts, we have made great progress toward leaving the Banks Association agreement behind, and God willing, by September 21 all of that will be behind us."

"THE WORDS 'WE WON'T GRANT DISCHARGE' SADDEN US"

Responding to criticism, Ali Koç said: "Unwanted results in football overshadow everything. During this period, broadcasting revenues — the most important source of income — dropped to one-third; you are well aware of where exchange rates and inflation have gone; taxes rising from 15 to 40; 50 percent of our revenues being taken by the banks for three seasons; the pandemic — and despite all of this, the more than 130 million paid in interest and principal, the point we have reached, and the fact that keeping the ship afloat is being taken lightly, deeply saddens us. This achievement is being belittled. It is being watered down with a 'we'll give it anyway' mentality. There is even the madness of 'we won't grant discharge if we feel like it.' The fact that people say they won't grant financial discharge just because things didn't go as we wanted in football saddens us."

FACILITIES ANNOUNCEMENT

Informing the yellow-and-navy community about facility developments, Ali Koç said: "With an investment of 6 million euros, Dereağzı will become a mini Olympic village. Our goal is clear: to develop more Busenaz's and Eda's. We are building the academy where we will develop young footballers. God willing, the first phase will be completed in November 2026 — three buildings, the completion of the first-team buildings, and the completion of the shell of the academy building. That is our first target. Our Ataşehir and Kayışdağı projects have reached the signing stage. I once again extend my thanks to Mr. Murat Ülker, who visited our club last night and put the final stamp on the process with his clear stance.

"TRANSFER FIGURES WE HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE..."

The market has reached a level in terms of wages and transfer budgets that we have never seen before. Doors are opening from 20–25 million. Whether we like it or not, next season we need a broader budget and a more target-focused squad.

"AN ASSASSINATION OF MOURINHO'S REPUTATION"

The goal of the campaign of lies and slander is to turn us against each other. Every achievement is meant to be overshadowed, every struggle is meant to be devalued. Over the last few months, we want to show examples of slander campaigns used to increase the number of signatures.

"IT HAS ONE SINGLE GOAL: CHAOS!"

When we look at the picture as a whole, I hope you too can see the scale of the smear campaign — rather than sincere, organic criticism — and that it is no coincidence. This is organised malice. The language of wearing down the club serves one single purpose: they want Fenerbahçeliler to fight among themselves, they want a cycle of chaos.

"NO PRESIDENT HAS BEEN ATTACKED AS MUCH AS I HAVE"

Our community has never seen such an environment and has never been this divided. No club president in Turkish sports history has experienced the attacks I have experienced. We are in a struggle. Our struggle is not with our supporters or our community; we will continue our struggle against those who are carrying out a character assassination against Fenerbahçe.

"FENERBAHÇE COMMUNITY, WAKE UP!"

Such a polarisation and atmosphere of anger is being created that our members and supporters, filled with pure love for Fenerbahçe, are reacting in ways they would never normally react in this flood of emotion. Players are being booed. We secure world-class sponsorships and they attack us. When an opposing player scores, the opposing player is applauded. Fenerbahçe community, wake up. Be aware of the danger.

"BLACK MARKET, BETTING, TERRORIST ORGANISATION..."

Do you see rival clubs discussing their internal affairs in public like this? Do you see them disparaging their much-talked-about sponsorships? Do you see them attacking their own executives? We know very well what goes on at some clubs. Can you imagine what could have happened to us if Fenerbahçe's name had been associated with the black market, with betting, with sponsors linked to terrorist organisations, with irregular contracts? If there had been just one such case, Fenerbahçe would have been in the courthouse corridors.

"FENERBAHÇELILER WHO ATTACK ME..."

Have you ever seen the so-called Fenerbahçeliler who systematically attack me and the current administration speak up even once about the serious allegations concerning the rival?!

Is Fenerbahçe only valuable while we are in office? At the moments when we need it most, instead of the opinion leaders of our community reacting on these matters — let alone reacting — while we are squabbling among ourselves, the horse has already bolted. That is the greatest danger here.

"THEY STOLE OUR CHAMPIONSHIPS"

Unable to destroy Fenerbahçe from the outside, they seek to divide it by polarising it from within — and to see what rivals are doing. I say with sadness that Fenerbahçeliler are also contributing to this. The structure — the system we speak of — has been exposed time and again. Especially our community waters it down, as was the case most recently with the PFDK scandal. It is not realistic to expect a 25-year-old system to be cleaned up in a single season, but the clean-up has begun. Many people are being removed from the system. Whoever the president may be, we must all focus on this issue collectively. Losing the championship three times in seven years is the product of this structure. This has not happened anywhere else in the world. Failing to become champions despite 99 goals and 99 points is the product of this structure."
