The 45th Istanbul Marathon, organized by the IMM subsidiary Spor Istanbul, started today at 09:00, 250 meters before the 15 July Martyrs Bridge toll booths.
Kenyan athletes dominated the marathon in both the men's and women's categories. The race was won by Panuel Mkungo in the men's category, while Beatrice Cheptoo finished first in the women's category.

In the 45th Istanbul Marathon, a cash prize of 30 thousand dollars will be awarded to the winners in both the men's and women's categories. The runners-up will receive 15 thousand dollars, and the third-place finishers will receive 10 thousand dollars.
For Turkish athletes, those who finish the marathon in first place will receive 40 thousand liras, second place 30 thousand liras, and third place 20 thousand liras.
