Bursa-born national kickboxer Aslı Salım becomes world bronze medalist in Italy

Representing Turkey at the 2026 Kickboxing World Championships held in Italy, Bursa-born national athlete Aslı Salım secured a bronze medal, finishing third in the world in the 50kg Junior Women's Light Contact category.
Salım, who has been training in kickboxing since she was young, managed to reach the podium at the international event following a long preparation period. The young athlete's achievement brought joy to both Turkey and Bursa.
Welcomed in Bursa upon her return from the championship, Aslı Salım was joined by the Kesgin Sports Club family, her coaches, her family, and her loved ones. The young athlete's world third-place finish was celebrated with enthusiasm during the welcome event held in front of the club.
It was stated that the national athlete will continue her training with the support of her club and family, with her goal being to achieve higher rankings in future championships.
