The Governor's Office reported that the incident was brought under control in a short time through the intervention of law enforcement, and that the fans were able to continue their journey safely.

It was stated that the bus sustained damage in the attack.

The Governor's Office statement included the following:

"A bus carrying Trabzonspor fans, who were traveling to our city for the Amedspor-Trabzonspor match, was attacked with stones while passing through our Ergani district, and a brief scuffle occurred following the incident. The window of one bus was damaged in the incident.

Within the scope of security measures taken, the incident was brought under control in a short time through the immediate intervention of our law enforcement officers, and the fans were ensured to continue their journey safely without allowing the situation to escalate.

We emphasize that this incident, which is entirely isolated in nature, should in no way be attributed to the Amedspor and Trabzonspor communities.
