Can Öncü secures a podium finish in the first race at the Italian circuit
National motorcycle racer Can Öncü managed to reach the podium on the first day of the Italian leg of the World Supersport Championship.

The seventh leg of the World Supersport Championship is being held this weekend at the Misano Circuit in Italy. In the first race of the weekend, Turkish racer Can Öncü started from the "pole" position with the Pata Yamaha Ten Kate team. At the end of the 18-lap battle, the young athlete saw the checkered flag in third place.
The winner of the race was French rider Valentin Debise, following an attack he made towards the final lap. Championship leader Albert Arenas finished second in the race representing Spain.
The excitement in the World Supersport Championship will continue tomorrow. The second race of the weekend is scheduled to start at 16:15 TSI.
