Carlo Ancelotti: 'They call me old-fashioned'

Real Madrid's Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti has made striking statements regarding the changes in football compared to the past.

Stating that the game is no longer what it used to be, Ancelotti said, "Football has changed, is changing, and will continue to change. Both the rules of the game and training methodologies will evolve. The game played today has nothing to do with the game played in 1990. Players have become much more professional."

Reflecting on his own career, Ancelotti added, "It has been 30 years since I started working, but I am still able to do my job. This means I have adapted well to the circumstances. Technology has changed our lives significantly. My assistants on my staff call me old-fashioned. I like using technology, and I believe I do use it."

Carlo Ancelotti's team, Real Madrid, currently sits in second place in La Liga behind Girona.
