Champions League quarter-final results
In the first legs of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, Arsenal defeated Real Madrid 3-0 at home, while Inter beat Bayern Munich 2-1 away.

The quarter-final stage of European football's premier club tournament began with two matches.
English side Arsenal hosted Spain's Real Madrid. The first half of the match at Emirates Stadium ended goalless. The deadlock was broken in the 58th minute by the hosts' Declan Rice with a stylish free-kick goal. Finding another goal from a free-kick in the 70th minute through Declan Rice, Arsenal extended the lead to 2. The English side made the score 3-0 with a goal scored by Mikel Merino in the 75th minute of the match.
There were no more goals in the remaining time, and Arsenal secured a significant advantage on the road to the semi-finals by defeating the defending champions Real Madrid 3-0.
In Real Madrid, where national footballer Arda Güler did not receive any playing time, Eduardo Camavinga was sent off in the 90+4th minute after receiving a second yellow card.
INTER DEFEATED BAYERN AWAY
In the other match of the day, German side Bayern Munich hosted Italy's Inter at the Allianz Arena.
Taking the lead with a goal from Lautaro Martinez in the 38th minute, the Italian side finished the first half 1-0 ahead. Playing with pressure in the second half of the match, Bayern Munich equalized with a goal scored by Thomas Müller in the 85th minute. Turning the score in their favor with a goal by Davide Frattesi in the 88th minute, Inter left the match with a 2-1 victory.
In the Italian team, national footballer Hakan Çalhanoğlu played the entire match.
The return legs of both matches will be played on Wednesday, April 16.
