As preparations continue at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul for the Super Cup final, the area around the stadium became active ahead of the critical derby. The tension between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe fan groups, who came together before the match, grew quickly and led to a mutual brawl.

Police teams intervened quickly in the moments when fans gathered around the stadium were chasing each other and tried to prevent the tension from escalating.

Security measures taken in the area where the derby will be played have been increased. The police tightened their controls around the stadium and at the tribune entrances to prevent the incidents from spreading further. Following the scuffle that occurred before the match, additional measures began to be implemented at the entrances to the stadium.

On the other hand, the kick-off time of the match had previously been changed to 18:45 due to the strong southwesterly wind and precipitation expected to be effective in Istanbul. With the match time being moved forward, fans flocked to the stadium area at earlier hours, and a high density of crowds was observed in the region.
