Claim: Super Lig could be postponed for one week

It has been claimed that the Trendyol Super Lig could be postponed for one week. It is stated that the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and the Ministry of Interior will consult on the postponement of the Super Lig and reach a decision by Wednesday.

Protests that began nationwide on March 19 following the arrest of CHP's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu are continuing on their 5th day. While the government was called to resign during the protests in Saraçhane, which were attended by thousands of citizens, demonstrations were held in numerous provinces across Turkey.

It has been claimed that the 29th week of the Turkish 1st Football League could be postponed due to the nationwide protests. It was reported that the TFF will hold a meeting with the Ministry of Interior on this matter. It was stated that the decision would be clarified by Wednesday.

According to the report by Murat Eken from Fanatik newspaper, the 29th week of the Super Lig could be pushed back by one week. Eken noted that the issue will be negotiated between Ministry of Interior officials and the TFF.

Sharing a post on his X account, Eken used the following expressions:

'The Super Lig could be pushed back by one week. It is likely to be clarified by Wednesday... It will be consulted between the Ministry of Interior and the TFF.'
