Clear victory for the women's national volleyball team against Afghanistan

The crescent-and-star women's team defeated Afghanistan 3-0 with a dominant performance in their first match at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games.

As the Islamic Solidarity Games began in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, the Women's National Volleyball Team gave Afghanistan no chance in their first test of the tournament. In the match held at the Boulevard SEF Arena, our national women's team defeated their opponent with set scores of 25-3, 25-4, and 25-4.

In the games, where the official opening ceremony will be held on Friday, November 7, volleyball matches served as the first competitions. In this tournament, which Saudi Arabia is hosting for the second time, the national team made a strong start with this clear victory.

The crescent-and-star squad will play their second match in the group against Azerbaijan on Thursday, November 6, at 16:00.

In the single round-robin format tournament, where Turkey, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, and Tajikistan are competing, the top two teams will advance directly to the final. The teams finishing in third and fourth place will compete for the bronze medal.
