Comments from İbrahim Hatipoğlu on Acun Ilıcalı: 'Never again with him...'

In the Super Lig, Galatasaray defeated Samsunspor 3-2. Galatasaray Board Member İbrahim Hatipoğlu criticized the two penalty decisions given against his team.

"We are heading into the international break with a win. I congratulate our team. We have won 10 out of 11 matches. We have had a very good start to the league. We shouldn't have to beat the referees in every match. Tonight, two very soft penalties were called against us. If these two penalties had been called in our favor, imagine what people in Turkey would be saying today. The perceptions being created have started to bear fruit. They talked about a 'structure.' Actually, there is no structure here, there is a huge disgrace. We see that referees give penalties against Galatasaray so easily; the source of their courage right now is the courage brought to them by these perceptions. We have conceded 11 goals, 6 of which were from penalties. All 6 of these penalties were borderline calls. Before coming here, a goal decision was made via VAR. Despite a clear handball in the position called by VAR, the goal in the match was allowed to stand. Our patience is running out. We are trying to look at this with good intentions, but 6 out of 11 goals in 11 weeks have come from penalties. This disgrace must be eliminated. A great duty awaits the Central Referee Committee (MHK); they need to review the decisions they have made. The current trend is not a good sign."
