Comments on Dries Mertens from Erden Timur!

Galatasaray Sportif AŞ Deputy Chairman Erden Timur made statements to members of the press.

Erden Timur also spoke about Dries Mertens, whose contract is set to expire. 

Timur said, "Mertens is putting on a tremendous performance. We are talking to the civil registry office in Belgium, saying, 'There is a mistake here. At this age, this is not possible.' Joking aside, we are in talks. He wants to stay in Istanbul. He is a truly amazing professional, a very valuable person. He is a man of heart, and we have many such players. There is such a wonderful atmosphere, there are very good people. Mertens is one of them. In one way or another, it will reach a conclusion in the coming period."

The 37-year-old Dries Mertens, who has taken the field in 48 matches for Galatasaray this season, has scored 11 goals and provided 17 assists.
