A confession from Lewis Hamilton! 'Ferrari was my childhood dream'

7-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton, who will take the Ferrari seat in 2025 in a surprise move, has made statements.

Stating that he wants to turn a new page in his career, Hamilton said, "I have had an incredible 11 years with Mercedes, but I wanted to turn a new page in my life, and that is why I made the decision to join Scuderia Ferrari as of 2025."

Saying that Ferrari was his childhood dream, Hamilton stated, "After achieving things with Mercedes that I dreamed of as a child, I feel incredibly lucky to now have the chance to fulfill another childhood dream. Driving in Ferrari red."

"IT WAS THE HARDEST DECISION I HAVE EVER HAD TO MAKE"

Stating that he made the hardest decision of his career, Lewis Hamilton said, "Mercedes has been a huge part of my life since I was 13, and this decision has been the hardest I have ever had to make. I am incredibly proud of everything we have achieved together and I am very grateful to everyone I have worked with over the years for their hard work and dedication, and of course to Toto for his friendship, guidance, and leadership. We won championships together, broke records, and became the most successful Driver-Team partnership in F1 history," and continued with these words:

"I also share my great appreciation to the entire Mercedes-Benz board of directors and everyone at the company in Germany and around the world who have supported me for these 26 years. But it is time to make a change and take on a new challenge. I still remember the feeling of taking a leap of faith into the unknown when I first joined Mercedes in 2013. I know some people didn't understand it at the time, but I was right to make the move then, and I have felt that feeling again. Now. I am excited to see what I can bring to this new opportunity and what we can do together."

"I AM FOCUSED ON THIS SEASON"

Stating that he is only thinking about the upcoming season for now, Lewis Hamilton said, "However, I am not thinking about 2025 right now. My focus is on the upcoming season and getting back on the track with Mercedes. I am more determined than ever, fitter and more focused than ever, and I want to help Mercedes win once again. I am 100% committed to the job I have to do and determined to end my partnership with the team on a high note," and concluded his sentences with these words:
