Confession-like statement from İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu: UEFA and FIFA will suspend us

“UEFA and FIFA will suspend us”

Responding to a question about the independence of the Arbitration Board, the PFDK (Professional Football Discipline Committee), and the UÇK (Dispute Resolution Board), Hacıosmanoğlu stated that the issue would be brought to the agenda of the financial general assembly.

İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu said, “Previously, the Arbitration Board was elected. Our colleagues are working on it. This will come to the agenda at the financial general assembly. The financial general assembly is on June 7-8.”

Continuing his remarks, Hacıosmanoğlu used striking expressions, stating, “I spoke with the President of the Constitutional Court. There are many references in the report there. If UEFA and FIFA find out about them, they will suspend us for a long time.”

“You shouldn't get too involved”

İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu also made assessments regarding the structure of the Turkish Football Federation.

Hacıosmanoğlu said, “As a sport, you are affiliated with UEFA and FIFA. You shouldn't get too involved. There are phrases trying to portray it as a public institution. They are trying to assign it the identity of a public institution; it is a dangerous term,” he said.

“TFF is autonomous”

Drawing attention to the autonomous structure of the Federation, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu used the following expressions:

“The Turkish Football Federation is autonomous and is affiliated with UEFA and FIFA. If you portray it as a public legal entity like other federations, then the institutions you are affiliated with will tell you to ‘stop.’”
