Controversy begins before the match: A very harsh statement from Trabzonspor regarding Fenerbahçe!
A harsh statement came from the Burgundy-Blue club ahead of the Trabzonspor – Fenerbahçe match to be played this weekend in the Super Lig. Trabzonspor Vice President Taner Saral stated, "We do not want any referee decisions that will affect the outcome of this match. The only expectation of the great Trabzonspor community, which is locked onto its own goals in both the league and the cup, is that justice is not deviated from."

Trabzonspor will host Fenerbahçe on its home turf in the 30th week of the Super Lig.
Ahead of the match to be played on Sunday evening, March 17, Trabzonspor Vice President Taner Saral made statements to the club's official website.
Reacting to the statements of Fenerbahçe Executive Selahattin Baki, Saral said, "This friend, who is an executive of a team we will host at our home this weekend, began efforts to put pressure on the Central Referee Committee and the federation—which we are all now accustomed to—immediately after the Siltaş Yapı Pendikspor match by using the 'pulling a rabbit out of a hat' analogy regarding our match. If you say 'I will be the champion,' then you will not look for help from others while coming to Trabzon. You will not provoke the people with such expressions. You will go out on the field and play your football, and the better side will win at the end of 90 minutes. That is all!"
"WE DO NOT WANT ANY REFEREE DECISIONS THAT WILL AFFECT THE OUTCOME OF THIS MATCH"
Calling on the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), Saral spoke as follows;
“Trabzonspor has been a victim for years due to wrong and intentional decisions made by referees, and its championships have been stolen. The call for 'we do not want referee errors' in the Trabzonspor match, shamelessly made by those who have made it a habit to reach championships by putting pressure on referees, and especially by those who have won many matches this season with a 'rabbit pulled out of a hat,' is actually a cry of 'save us, keep us in this race.' In other words, it is an expectation of a new rabbit. The Turkish Football Federation should remind the referees assigned to Trabzon and the friends who will sit in the VAR room that they do not have to bow to pressure in any way. They must manage the matches of all teams in the league with the same care and stay away from the reflex of granting privileges to the two teams at the very top of the league, which we have witnessed frequently this season. We do not want any referee decisions that will affect the outcome of this match. The only expectation of the great Trabzonspor community, which is locked onto its own goals in both the league and the cup, is that justice is not deviated from. We do not even want to think about the reaction that the repetition of the theatricals we have witnessed for weeks would create in our community in Trabzon. If it happens, the entire football public knows how the refereeing careers of those involved in this business have ended.”
WHAT DID SELAHATTIN BAKI SAY?
Fenerbahçe Executive Selahattin Baki had made the statements, "Let's see what kind of rabbit the TFF plans to pull out of a hat in the Trabzon away game. We will all see together."
