Cristiano Ronaldo hints at when he will retire from football

Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed the timeframe in which he is considering ending his career.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Al-Nassr, spoke about his retirement plans in an interview with CNN International. The 40-year-old star stated that he is thinking about retiring "soon," adding that this could be "within 1 or 2 years."

Expressing that he still feels in good form and continues to score goals, Ronaldo said, "I enjoy playing for the national team. When I think about retiring from football, it will probably be in one or two years."

Stating that the 2026 World Cup will be the last of his career, Ronaldo expressed pride in the many records he has set at both club and national team levels over his 25-year career.

Touching on the challenges of being a father, Ronaldo also remarked, "I would like my children to be better than me, and if they are, I will never be jealous of them. It doesn't matter if they are interested in football or another sport."
