The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has reached a decision regarding the criminal complaint filed against former Turkish Football Federation (TFF) president Mehmet Büyükekşi. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued a decision of non-prosecution for Büyükekşi.
The TFF had identified a deficiency in the financial report prepared prior to the vote held to release the accounts and activity reports for the period between June 2023 and May 31, 2024. Upon determining that the signature of the then-president Mehmet Büyükekşi was missing from the board of directors' decision book, the TFF had filed a criminal complaint.
However, following the investigation conducted, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office ruled that there were no grounds for prosecution against Mehmet Büyükekşi, citing the absence of any criminal elements.
