Fenerbahçe has taken the first step in the planned renovation and transformation process at the Dereağzı Lefter Küçükandonyadis Facilities. The yellow-navy club announced that the demolition of the Metin Aşık Camp Building has begun.
According to information shared by the club, the building will be rebuilt as part of the Dereağzı Lefter Küçükandonyadis Olympic Academy Project. Once the new structure is completed, it is planned to be allocated for the use of the football academy and the women's football team.
In the new building, separate areas will be created for the athletes' training, accommodation, and daily needs. It was reported that the project will also include dedicated sections for the technical staff and medical team.
Fenerbahçe announced that the transformation in Dereağzı will not be implemented all at once, but in stages. Ground improvements and the reconstruction of existing structures are also among the topics covered by the project.
In the club's statement, it was expressed that a sufficient number of housing and social areas are planned for each branch within the scope of the project. Thus, the goal is to make the Dereağzı facilities more functional for different units, primarily the youth academy and the women's football team.
