Departure at Beşiktaş: Spanish defender's contract terminated

Beşiktaş has terminated the contract of Montero by mutual agreement.

The statement from the black-and-white club is as follows:

"We have terminated our contract with our professional football player Francisco Montero by mutual agreement.

Montero, who was loaned from Atletico Madrid in 2020 and signed permanently the following season, played in 46 matches for Beşiktaş and contributed 2 goals and 2 assists to the black-and-white team.

The 25-year-old defender was sent on loan to Hamburg in the second half of the 2022-2023 season and to Arouca in the 2023-2024 season."
