The board of directors of Diyarbekirspor, a team in the TFF 2nd League White Group, stated in their announcement regarding the incidents during the Bursaspor match that they will continue to remain on the pitch in line with the unifying spirit of sports, just as they have done until now.

In the written statement issued by the Diyarbekirspor Board of Directors, it was emphasized that the incidents occurring on the green fields, which should serve the unifying spirit of sports, are in no way acceptable, and the following was stated: "The unsportsmanlike and conscience-pricking attacks by the opposing team's players during the match we played in Bursa have deeply wounded the entire sports community. The attacks that started on the pitch continued in the locker room corridors, and our players Bünyamin Yürür, Serhat Enes Çalışan, Seymen Yağmur, and Cem Çelik were injured and suffered trauma. We will resort to all legal avenues to protect the rights of our players who have been taken under treatment and our club. We invite the Football Federation and all relevant units to do what is necessary regarding the incidents that have reached this point today due to the lack of necessary actions taken in the past for similar events."

In the statement, the Bursa Police Department was thanked for their great efforts in preventing the escalation of the incidents and for protecting the players and the delegation.

"We thank everyone who is the voice of common sense"

The statement also included the following:

"Those who committed these grave acts are Bursaspor players who have not received their share of sports ethics and humanity, and the provocateurs disguised as fans who support them. As a delegation, we did not experience any problems with the Bursaspor management. The Bursaspor President and executives expressed that they were extremely saddened. As the Diyarbekirspor club, we will continue to remain on the pitch in line with the unifying spirit of sports, just as we have done until now, and continue to fight in a manner worthy of our city, the cradle of civilizations, and the crest we carry. No provocation, incitement, or action incompatible with the spirit of sports will be able to divert us from this invaluable mission. We carry the glorious and honorable name and mission of the 12,500-year-old Diyarbakır, the cement of brotherhood, the symbol of civilization, and the insurance of bravery. We thank all segments of our country who have supported us and everyone who is the voice of common sense. As a club, we will continue our path decisively by maintaining our common sense and composure, just as we have done until now. Victories, defeats, successes, and failures come and go. What is permanent is the peace and brotherhood of the 85 million. As a club, we will continue to contribute to this."

The statement, which noted that the victory achieved in Bursa is dedicated to everyone who supports the team, invited the people of Diyarbakır and all fans to the match to be played against Bucaspor 1928 at the Diyarbakır Stadium on Sunday, December 24, at 14:00.
