Dorgeles Nene, who cannot find playing time at Fenerbahçe, scores 2 goals for his national team

In the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Mali started the group stage with a victory, defeating Cape Verde 3-1 at home. In the match played at the 26 March Stadium, Fenerbahçe's Dorgeles Nene became the standout player of the game by scoring two goals.

The home team started the match quickly. Mali took a 1-0 lead in the 5th minute with a goal from Ange Tia. Cape Verde equalized in the 10th minute with a free-kick goal from Trabzonspor's Sidny Lopes Cabral.

Stepping up in the final part of the first half, Dorgeles Nene put Mali back in the lead in the 39th minute. Nene found the net once again in the 51st minute, sealing his team's 3-1 victory.

Following this result, Mali completed its first match in the qualifiers with 3 points. Cape Verde, on the other hand, remained without points. Mali will play against Liberia in its next match on September 29. Cape Verde will host Rwanda on the same day.
