Dursun Özbek's administration receives mandate at Galatasaray

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek, who ran as the sole candidate in the recent ordinary election general assembly and received 1,780 votes, has been elected president for the third consecutive time and the fourth time in total. The mandate ceremony for the new term of the yellow-reds was held at the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex RAMS Park.

The general assembly's council committee presented the mandates to the newly elected members of the board of directors, audit board, registry board, and disciplinary board. Dursun Özbek, who was elected president for the 3rd consecutive time and the 4th time in total at the yellow-red club, received his mandate from the general assembly council president, Ahmet Kemal Kumkumoğlu. Subsequently, the mandates were presented to the members of the board of directors, audit board, registry board, and disciplinary board.

Speaking at the ceremony, Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek said, "As you know, since the 2022 term, we have formed boards of directors under my presidency for the 2022-2024 and 2026 terms. Since the actions we have taken over the past 4 years were appreciated and accepted by the General Assembly, they deemed us worthy of this duty again for the 2026-2028 term. This increases our responsibility even further. Because every time, in every term, we must have achievements beyond what was done in the previous term. We feel compelled to do better both in sporting terms and in non-sporting activities. That is why we aspired to this duty. All Galatasaray fans, my General Assembly, and my supporters should be sure of this; yes, we are coming with this goal. In this term, we will strive to do more and better than what we did in the previous term. I want the Galatasaray community, the General Assembly, and the fans to continue the support they have given us until today. We achieved this success with their support. We are in great need of their support again to take our success even higher from now on. I wish the 2026-2028 term to be auspicious for Galatasaray Sports Club. I also promise that together with my colleagues, we will lead Galatasaray Sports Club to better days," he stated.
