Dursun Özbek reacts to the question "Do you trust the TFF?"

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek made statements regarding the attack on referee Halil Umut Meler and the Turkish Football Federation.

"HALİL UMUT MELER SHOULD NOT BE DISCOURAGED"

Stating that Halil Umut Meler should not quit refereeing, Dursun Özbek said, "The brand value of Turkish sports should not be harmed by such incidents. We all have a common goal. We are trying to elevate Turkish sports to a certain level. Halil Umut Meler is our most accomplished referee. He should not be discouraged from Turkish football. We would be pleased to see him among us again. Hopefully, he will overcome this trauma and start officiating matches again."

ÖZBEK'S REACTION TO THE TFF QUESTION

Reacting to the question, "Do you trust the Turkish Football Federation?", Dursun Özbek said, "This federation is a federation we elected. I do not accept the question, 'Do you trust them?' We elected this federation. I did not like this question regarding a federation we elected 6 months ago."
