Galatasaray Club President Dursun Özbek hoisted the yellow-reds' flag at the Champions Monument.
Özbek, who arrived at the Champions Monument in Büyükçekmece—where the flag of the champion team is flown every year—alongside Galatasaray General Secretary Eray Yazgan, was welcomed by Büyükçekmece Mayor Hasan Akgün.
Making statements during the ceremony, Özbek noted that they had left behind a very difficult and competitive season, stating, "My colleagues on the board of directors and I were tired. But I came to Büyükçekmece, you showed me affection, and all the fatigue of the season vanished."
COMMENTS ON JOSE MOURINHO
Emphasizing that the 2024-2025 season will also be very challenging, Özbek said the following:
"When our rivals saw that it was impossible to stop Galatasaray's rise, they intensified their activities. I hope we will celebrate Galatasaray's 25th championship and 5th star together here again. We won a cup that is as pure as our mother's milk. No one can say a word against this cup. May it be a gift to all Galatasaray fans. Hopefully, we will attach the 5th star next year. I have friends here wearing jerseys. Put the 4-star jerseys in the closet, 5-star jerseys are coming, buy those."
Following the statements, Büyükçekmece Mayor Hasan Akgün and Galatasaray Club President Dursun Özbek hoisted the Galatasaray flag.
