Dursun Özbek's remarks on Erden Timur: Is there a disagreement?

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek spoke about the yellow-red club's projects. In his statement on Haber Türk, Dursun Özbek said: "Riva provided us with a profit of 170 million dollars. Go to the consortium banks today, talk to their general managers, and ask, 'Which club has a more sound financial structure?' They will all say Galatasaray. If Galatasaray is in this position, it is thanks to Riva. We did not use the incoming money; we paid off financial debts. My expectation from Riva, we earned 170, how much more are we expecting? They are explaining it now, they are explaining it ironically. There are 125 more villas to be built, and they will belong to Galatasaray. If you multiply this by the current price, it amounts to 2-3 billion TL. There is money coming in, but the project is ongoing." 

DURSUN ÖZBEK'S REMARKS ON THE KEMERBURGAZ PROJECT

Continuing his remarks, Özbek stated: "We entered the Mecidiyeköy project from the middle. There is a plot of land we rented from the National Real Estate in Kemerburgaz for 49 years. Its value is priceless. It is 5 minutes to the stadium and 15 minutes to the airport. To carry out this project, let's move from Florya and go to a place that doesn't belong to us in Kemerburgaz. Let's buy 40 decares of land in Florya with the money we will earn from Mecidiyeköy. Mecidiyeköy was a lever. We are doing a simultaneous project. We are moving Florya to Kemerburgaz, everything is ready, zoning, etc., we will vacate Florya, but 21 decares belong to Galatasaray, and 42 decares belong to Emlak Konut. If you want to do something, you have to buy the 42 decares. Where is the money? We will build and sell Mecidiyeköy, and we will give this money to the land in Florya." 

The Galatasaray President continued: "This triple project was carried out successfully. We bought Florya for 1 billion 85 million. We collected the money from the apartments in Mecidiyeköy. I took out an 18-month loan. The bank wanted my signature there. I signed it without hesitation. We closed the 18-month loan in 6 months. Galatasaray's 21-decare plot in Florya increased to 65 decares. The title deed belongs to Galatasaray. There is not a penny of debt from this trade." 

CLEAR STATEMENTS REGARDING ERDEN TİMUR

Regarding the question of whether he has had any disagreements with Erden Timur, Dursun Özbek stated: "Erden Timur is my brother. During my presidency 7 years ago, I asked him, and he came and became our jersey sponsor. He is an important friend who loves Galatasaray. He is a friend who is a Galatasaray enthusiast. No one can say anything against this. There may be differences of opinion on some issues in our management; you cannot expect everyone to think the same thing. In our culture, we can think differently, but we are a community that knows how to reach a consensus in practice and act accordingly. A difference of opinion is not a difference of heart. Erden Timur is my brother. He has served the club. He will always continue to serve Galatasaray. Let no one take this matter to another level with a literature of discord or disinformation in this sense."
