Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek made evaluations following the summit he held with TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi.

THE FEDERATION DID NOT WANT TO CHANGE THE ELECTION DATE

Following the meeting held by the delegation consisting of Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek, Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım, and Kasımpaşa President Fatih Saraç with the Turkish Football Federation, it was stated that the federation does not want to change the election date of July 18. Özbek stated, "The meeting became aimless due to the statement published by the Union of Clubs, and that while the federation was of the same mind regarding reaching a consensus, it did not want to change the election date because the statement had been published."

3 CLUBS APPROVED THE UNION OF CLUBS STATEMENT

Özbek said that the Union of Clubs Foundation wanted an early election and a change in the federation, and that after the signature collection process, the federation announced that an early election would be held on July 18. However, he noted that the Union of Clubs Foundation published a statement approved by only 3 clubs without the approval of the other clubs. Özbek said, "If there was an opportunity to move the election date earlier, it has been missed. Today's meeting did not achieve its purpose. Even if enough signatures are collected, the election falls at the end of June or the beginning of July," and expressed that the federation was not prepared due to the statement. He also added that there is no stance regarding any candidate within the Union of Clubs, and that nothing has been discussed or negotiated.
