Incumbent president Dursun Özbek will participate in the election as the sole candidate, and the club's new management team will be finalized. Voting will take place at 20 ballot boxes set up in the garden of Galatasaray High School and will conclude at 3:00 PM.
The lists of principal and substitute members for the board of directors, supervisory board, registry board, and disciplinary board submitted by Dursun Özbek have been presented to the members. Among the principal members of the board of directors are names such as Metin Öztürk, Sedat Artukoğlu, and Eray Yazgan. The substitute members include Bora İsmail Bahçetepe and his team. The individuals who will serve in the new term on the supervisory and registry boards have also been determined.
Preparing to make history
Dursun Özbek, who is entering an election for the presidency of Galatasaray for the fourth time, is on track to become the second longest-serving president in the club's history by the end of his term. If he completes his new 2-year term, he will reach a total presidential tenure of approximately 8 years and 7 months.
During this process, Özbek will surpass Suphi Batur, Selahattin Beyazıt, and Ali Uras in the club's history. In the 121-year history of the yellow-red club, 38 different individuals have served as president so far; founder Ali Sami Yen continues to be the person who has held this seat for the longest time, with approximately 14 years.
Galatasaray members will once again determine the future management at the polls today. Following the election, the club's new management team and president will leave their mark on the next two years.
