Head coach Emre Belözoğlu announced that he has parted ways with Antalyaspor in a statement shared on his social media account.

Belözoğlu stated, "The love and interest shown to us since the day I arrived will have a very special place for me."

Belözoğlu's statement is as follows:

"Dear city of Antalya and valued Antalyaspor fans;

The love and interest shown to us since the day I arrived will have a very special place for me.

The poet's lines, 'If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster / And treat those two impostors just the same…' have always inspired me.

I have seen that this is where I have always needed to look during my career as an athlete and a coach.

Unfortunately, speculations and talking about non-existent realities as if they were true have become a natural part of our lives from the past to the present…

Throughout my tenure, we tried to do our best by pushing our resources to the limit. Within the framework of our possibilities, we completed a season where we received the rewards as a team with the best effort, and we immediately started planning for the new season. However, I would like to share with sadness that I have decided to leave because the situation that has emerged and is real for the next season has made it impossible for me to continue my duty.

Out of respect for the club's internal operations, privacy, and my profession, I do not find it appropriate to share further details regarding my decision to leave.

I would like to thank our facility staff who worked selflessly and supported us despite all kinds of difficulties, my entire technical team, all my player brothers, especially our captain Veysel, our President Sinan Boztepe who believed in us, our valuable board members, our esteemed governor Hulusi Şahin, and the great Antalyaspor community and its great fans, who are in the most special place in my heart, for not withholding their favor from us.

What is important now is for the city of Antalya to act as one, together with all its structures and dynamics. I fought hard for this during my time working here. I think I was relatively successful.
