Emre Belözoğlu decides to stay at Antalyaspor

Head coach Emre Belözoğlu, who announced his departure from Antalyaspor in recent days, has reversed that decision. Belözoğlu, who made the announcement of his departure on June 25, 2025, has now stated that he will continue his duties at Antalyaspor. It was stated that Belözoğlu will return to Antalya on July 2.

The 44-year-old coach had previously stated in his announcement that he had made the decision to leave Antalyaspor with sadness. Belözoğlu had thanked the Antalyaspor community, saying, "The love and interest shown to us since the day I arrived will have a very special place for me." Avoiding detailing the reasons behind his decision to leave, Belözoğlu had not provided further information on the matter out of respect for the club's internal operations and his profession.

Belözoğlu had stated that throughout his tenure, they had pushed the team's resources to the limit to put up the best fight possible and had begun planning for the new season. However, he had noted that at the point reached, certain realities made it impossible for him to continue his duties.

Thanking the Antalyaspor community and its fans, Belözoğlu had emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity in the city, saying, "What is important now is for the city of Antalya to act as one, together with all its structures and dynamics."
