Emre Belözoğlu: 'It was a kind of apology match'

MKE Ankaragücü head coach Emre Belözoğlu said they were happy to have won the match after defeating Gaziantep FK 1-0 in the 13th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig.

Speaking at the press conference held after the match, Belözoğlu stated that they started the game well.

Stating that they achieved an important victory, Belözoğlu said the following:

"The defeat against Antalya before the international break had an effect on my players and the community. It was a kind of apology and a match to make amends. There is an environment where every match is viewed like a final. Honestly, I am not very happy about this. My players are well-intentioned and trying to do their best. Whatever I showed them today, they tried to do their best. Today, we faced a team that defends well. It was not easy to break that down. Sumudica was defeated at home for the first time. We are happy to have achieved this. We want to bring happier days to the community. My greatest desire is to build a winning team."
