MKE Ankaragücü manager Emre Belözoğlu, whose team drew 1-1 away against Corendon Alanyaspor in the rescheduled 16th week match of the Trendyol Süper Lig, said they received the reward for the moves they made in the second half while playing with ten men.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Belözoğlu noted that the match was played under very difficult weather and pitch conditions, adding that everyone who fought on the pitch and the refereeing team should be congratulated.
Emre Belözoğlu stated that they received a red card while everything was going very well for them and their opponents were playing with zero shots, saying, "We made a move in the second half that we thought we could get a return on. However, we conceded a goal due to an error. We made another move on top of that and got the reward."
Noting that it was a difficult match for the managers, Belözoğlu said the following:
"I cannot find anything to say about the 25-30 minute period of the match. Whether the ball is played on the pitch or not... We cannot say anything to the referees either. They have immunity, God bless them. That's why there isn't much to say. I am sad. For 30 minutes, the efforts here were put into serious trouble. For those watching on television and in the stands, there was nothing much to watch in that 30-minute period. As for my players, what I can say is that there was a truly valuable stance they showed on the pitch. I find the reaction they showed within the rules of the game and the will they built on not losing to be very important. I also find the atmosphere in the locker room very valuable. I congratulate my athlete brothers who played under these difficult conditions."
