Leaving the away match against Fenerbahçe with a 3-2 victory, Trabzonspor both ended Fenerbahçe's winning streak and satisfied a 26-year longing for a win in Kadıköy.

The burgundy-blue squad, which arrived in the city after the match, was welcomed by a large number of fans at Trabzon Airport, accompanied by flares and chants.

Trabzonspor Club Vice President Zeyyat Kafkas, who accompanied the players, stated to journalists that it was a good match for them and noted the following:

"The 3 points are good, winning is good, but it was a shameful night for Turkish football. That is why I can say we are experiencing a bittersweet joy. Our President said everything that needed to be said, there is no need to add anything to that; all of Turkey already watched it. It was truly a shameful night. I mean, whether it was done to us or someone else, it doesn't matter; it was a night that did not suit football."

The players boarded the team bus accompanied by the fans' chants and left the airport.
