Former Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş. Deputy Chairman Erden Timur made statements during his appearance on journalist Fatih Altaylı's YouTube channel.
'I CAUSED HARM'
In response to the question, "Did you cause harm to Galatasaray with the Ndombele, Zaha, and Tete transfers?", Timur gave the following answer:
"Let me put it simply; I did. Zaha was the most sought-after player. A player is selected from a player pool. I do not select players. I go after the 3 or 5 players that are selected. If I had told the scouting team and the technical staff, 'we can buy players with transfer fees, we have no spending limit issues,' there were completely different players on the list."
STATEMENTS ON FRED AND SZYMANSKİ
Erden Timur, who also admitted that they were interested in Fred and Szymanski, who currently play for Fenerbahçe, before they transferred to the yellow-navy team, said the following regarding these players:
"There were many players we wanted to sign, including Fred, whom Fenerbahçe acquired. We couldn't sign them because we didn't have the spending limit to pay transfer fees.
Since we couldn't pay transfer fees, we were trying to reach a loan agreement for Szymanski. Why there is no spending limit is never asked."
