Ergin Ataman announces the result of the final match: 'We will be champions!'

In the 2025 European Basketball Championship, Turkey secured its place in the final by defeating Greece 94-68 in the semi-finals. The national team, which will face Germany in the final, is preparing for the championship match with great excitement.

Head coach Ergin Ataman stated in his post-match remarks that this victory is a gift to Turkey. "Let this historic victory be a gift to our country. Our team reached this point deservedly, and I hope we will return with the trophy. Everyone, be in front of your screens on Sunday evening; we will be champions!" he said.

Ataman noted that in his meeting with the players before the match, he told them, "We came here with a medal goal, but now we will play for the gold medal. We will beat Germany and become champions." He also thanked the fans for their support, saying, "There is one more match to go!"

Speaking to the Greek state channel ERT, Ataman said, "I apologize to my Greek friends, but my players were better tonight. We defended well against Giannis, Sloukas, and Toliopoulos. Dorsey found a few shots at the beginning, but we stopped him too. Greece is an extraordinary team, but we were better."

Ataman stated that they want to achieve a historic success by defeating Germany in the final. "Greece is a better team than Germany. If we play at the same level, we will take the gold medal. This has never happened before," he concluded.
