Ersin Destanoğlu, referred to the PFDK, reacts to the TFF

The Turkish Football Federation Legal Consultancy has referred a total of 1,024 football players to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board with precautionary measures as part of a comprehensive betting investigation. Among those referred is Beşiktaş's young goalkeeper Ersin Destanoğlu. In a written statement released yesterday evening, the 24-year-old goalkeeper clearly stated that he had not engaged in betting.

ARRIVED AT THE COURTHOUSE TO FILE A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT

Destanoğlu arrived at the Çağlayan Courthouse around noon today with his lawyer to file a criminal complaint regarding the allegations directed at him. The Black-and-White goalkeeper made a statement to members of the press after completing the procedures.

"MY CONSCIENCE IS VERY CLEAR"

Speaking upon leaving the courthouse, Ersin Destanoğlu used the following expressions:

"We have the example of Zorbay Küçük before us. Zorbay Küçük also explained himself. Smearing names like this is taking the easy way out. One coupon was played, involving teams whose names I don't even know. I have nothing left to say. That coupon was also one of the bonus coupons given after signing up. I am not sad, I am very angry. I have nothing to be sad about. I know myself, my conscience is very clear.

My identity information was taken and an account was opened. Our federation attempted to tarnish our names by sharing them directly without even contacting us. That is what I think. We would never have anything to do with such things. We are people who learned the Beşiktaş stance very well in the youth academy. We would not let ourselves fall into a situation where our names are tarnished by such ridiculous matters. Let no one have any doubts. My conscience is clear."
