Ertan Torunoğulları responds to Aziz Yıldırım regarding Kante
Former Fenerbahçe executive Ertan Torunoğulları reacted on his social media account to the debate surrounding the cost of N’Golo Kante.

Evaluations made regarding the cost of N’Golo Kante during Fenerbahçe’s ordinary general assembly drew a reaction from the club’s former board member, Ertan Torunoğulları.
Following President Aziz Yıldırım’s remarks concerning the French footballer’s cost, Torunoğulları issued a statement on his social media account, noting that he was uncomfortable with Kante’s name being frequently brought up in internal club discussions.
"As a Fenerbahçe fan, I am uncomfortable with our valuable player Kante’s name being mentioned in every discussion about our club. I also find it significant that the figures are being stated including taxes to make the costs appear even higher."
In his post, Torunoğulları also drew attention to the emphasis on taxes, stating, “I suppose there is a tax application in this country only for N’Golo Kante. Taxes are not collected for other players.”
The former executive stated that players currently in the squad should not be made a subject of public debate, adding, “I hope that in the coming periods, we will abandon the habit of throwing names currently in our squad into the public eye.”
