Excitement in Formula 1 begins in Bahrain

The 2024 season of the Formula 1 World Championship will begin with the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The qualifying laps for the first race of the season, which will be held at the 5.4-kilometer Bahrain International Circuit in the Sakhir region, will start tomorrow at 19:00 TSI. The race will take place on Saturday, March 2, at 18:00 TSI.

British driver Lewis Hamilton, who will be spending his final season with the Mercedes team in Formula 1, holds the title of the most successful driver of the stage, having won the Bahrain Grand Prix, which was first held in 2004, 5 times.

Hamilton reached the top of the podium in 2014, 2015, 2019, 2020, and 2021.

Dutch driver Max Verstappen, the champion of the last three years, crossed the checkered flag in first place in Bahrain last year, bringing his team Red Bull its first stage victory in Bahrain in 10 years.
