Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran, who was detained as part of a drug investigation and tested positive in the Forensic Medicine Institute results, had been released under judicial control.

During this process, allegations had emerged that the Yellow-Navy club would head to an extraordinary congress.

According to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the Fenerbahçe Board of Directors has decided to hold an extraordinary elective general assembly.

THE ELECTION WILL BE HELD AT THE END OF THE SEASON

Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reported the following regarding the matter:

"Both the current football players at Fenerbahçe and the names in transfer negotiations felt uneasy due to the second elective general assembly within one season and asked Devin Özek about the issue.

Sadettin Saran requested that the congress be planned 'according to the last match of the season' so that the team would not be harmed by the election and the transfer process would not be affected. The decision was welcomed by the players, the players being negotiated with, and the technical staff."

It is a matter of curiosity whether current president Sadettin Saran will be a candidate in the extraordinary congress expected to be held at the end of the season.

No official statement has yet been made by the club regarding the matter.
