Fabio Cannavaro has been appointed as the head coach of the Italian Serie A football club Udinese.

Udinese has announced that it has reached an agreement with Italian coach Fabio Cannavaro until the end of the season to fill the head coaching position left vacant by Gabriele Cioffi.
The 50-year-old Cannavaro, who has managed clubs such as Guangzhou and Tianjin in China, and Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, has also served as the coach of the Chinese National Team and most recently the Italian side Benevento.
Udinese, which has collected 28 points after 33 weeks in Serie A, currently sits one spot above the relegation zone.
