Farewell statement from Sadettin Saran: Please forgive me

Sadettin Saran, the new president of Fenerbahçe Sports Club, announced in a statement on his social media account that he is stepping down from his roles at his companies.

Stating that he made this decision in order to fulfill the responsibilities he has taken on, Saran used the following expressions:

“To my colleagues and fellow travelers, with whom I have spent nearly half my life in the companies I built from scratch 30 years ago,

As you know and have been following, I was elected President of Fenerbahçe Sports Club last week. In order to properly fulfill the responsibilities of this honorable position, I need to step down from my roles at my companies. 

I am entering a period where I believe I must dedicate the majority of my time, mind, and heart to Fenerbahçe, after my family. For this reason, while I am stepping down from all my positions at Saran Holding, I am handing over the role of Chairman of the Board to my brother, Kenan Saran.

 I sincerely believe that with this change in leadership, our companies will continue to increase their successes both in Turkey and internationally.

You have also been closely following the unfortunate developments we have experienced regarding Tuttur for a long time. In light of these developments, while Tuttur's operations are being terminated, our executive colleagues are of course making all necessary plans to create new job opportunities for our employees in different units within the holding as much as possible. Naturally, the legal rights of all our employees are under our guarantee.

While I work to lead the yellow-navy legend to the championship, I believe that you will continue to carry Saran Holding, which you know as your home, into the future just as you have done until today.

Before receiving my mandate today, I wanted to say goodbye to you and thank you for all your support and belief in our business relationship, which we built on a foundation of love. Please forgive me.”
