In the Ziraat Turkish Cup Round of 16, Şota Arveladze's team VavaCars Fatih Karagümrük faced off against Yılport Samsunspor, managed by Markus Gisdol.
The match, played at the Istanbul Atatürk Olympic Stadium, was won 2-1 by the hosts Fatih Karagümrük, with goals scored by Davide Biraschi in the 72nd minute and Flavio Paoletti in the 89th minute.
The visiting team Samsunspor's only goal was scored by Marius Mouandilmadji in the 68th minute.
With this result, Fatih Karagümrük advanced to the quarter-finals, while Samsunspor was eliminated from the cup.
