In the 28th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Trabzonspor visited Başakşehir. Following the recent loss of points, the burgundy-blues parted ways with Şenol Güneş and appointed Fatih Tekke as the new head coach. The 47-year-old manager met with the team during the week and made his debut in the away match in Istanbul.
Fatih Tekke, who started the season at Alanyaspor, parted ways with the club after the goalless draw against Bodrum FK in the 11th week. Tekke, who played for Trabzonspor in three different periods between 1994 and 2006 during his football career—where he became a top scorer and won trophies—began his tenure as head coach this week.
INTENSE SUPPORT FROM FANS
Fatih Tekke, who has received strong support since the day he signed with Trabzonspor, continued to see interest from the burgundy-blue fans in Istanbul. Trabzonspor fans, who filled the away section at Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium, hung a banner reading 'Fatih Sultan Tekke' in the stands.
