Regarding Albert Riera, the former Galatasaray player who currently manages Eintracht Frankfurt, Terim said, "Riera once told me in a way that deeply touched and honored me, 'I want to start my education at Fatih Terim University'... He is no longer a student; he is a colleague whose successes I watch with pleasure."

Noting that the Spanish manager had "great game intelligence and football knowledge" during his playing days, Terim added, "Even though he spent his entire career as a left winger, we were able to play him at left back."

Albert Riera, who manages Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, recently said about Terim, "After I got my license, I received a call from Fatih Terim. He said, 'If you want to be a good manager, you have to work with me.'

The two years I spent as an assistant coach at Galatasaray were like a PhD for me. I learned discipline, organization, team management, characters, and personalities from Fatih Terim, which are more important than theoretical knowledge, and I got that from Fatih Terim."
