Fatih Terim: 'Everyone should be proud of us'

Panathinaikos manager Fatih Terim spoke ahead of the match they will play against PAOK. 

Terim, the experienced manager of Panathinaikos, who won against Olympiacos in the first week of the playoffs and is 3 points behind the leader AEK, said, "We know PAOK very well. They know us just as well. This match will be played at our home, and our fans will be with us. Above all, we want to win with a good performance."

Terim stated, "PAOK is a very good team, but we also have our goals. Before the Olympiacos match, I said there were 30 points left to play for. Now there are 27 points left. When asked about the work they did during the international break, Terim concluded his speech by saying, "The truth is we didn't have many players available, but we made the appropriate preparations with those we had. Also, there was a long break in the league, that is true. We played a training-style preparation match against the club's second team. We have to be very careful about the players returning from national teams because there is a big gap. Due to the large number of absences, we tried to organize the training sessions to be efficient. As I emphasized, we had to be careful at this point in the season. It is certainly not easy to keep the rhythm of training where it needs to be with so many players missing and considering the intensity we need to manage at this point. That is why we tried to keep an eye on the players and at the same time go over some things that needed to be improved."
