In the match played at Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium, Panathinaikos' goal was scored by Aitor in the 11th minute. The goals for Atromitos, managed by former Galatasaray player Sasa Ilıc, were scored by Karol Angielski in the 25th minute and Denzel Jubitana in the 42nd minute.
TERIM'S FIRST DEFEAT
Head coach Terim experienced his first defeat at the helm of Panathinaikos.
Samet Akaydin, who the green-and-white team loaned from Fenerbahçe, and Anastasios Bakasetas, who was transferred from Trabzonspor, both started in the first eleven.
The return leg will be played on Wednesday, January 31.
